Adam is a securities law partner with Fogler, Rubinoff LLP in Toronto and Chairman of the Foundation Markets, a Toronto Merchant Bank and Exempt Market Dealer. His law and banking practices focus on financings and going public transactions. Adam represents several mid-market public companies and assists companies in listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Toronto Venture Exchange. He also represents brokerage firms as legal counsel and has helped numerous clients with their M&A and cross border transactions. Adam has a particular expertise with the Capital Pool Company program.
Alex has joined Foundation Markets in 2010 as an Associate in the Corporate Finance Group and has been involved in various financial and strategic advisory activities in the small-cap space including M&A and going public transactions. Alex has worked on projects in a variety of sectors including mining, oil and gas, media, technology and alternative energy. Prior to joining Foundation Markets he worked at the Department of National Defense with the Government of Canada as a Civilian Instructor. Alex has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University with concentration in finance and is CFA Charterholder.
Peter has over 35 years of experience in the business world, having business interests in various sectors, including corporate finance, management and financial consulting, real estate investments, manufacturing, retail, and oil and gas exploration and development. Peter has worked in numerous locations across Canada, the U.S., Panama and the British Virgin Islands. A significant part of his time has been spent working in the ivory towers of Canada’s financial district in Toronto, and Montreal where numerous business relationships exist. He also has several years experience in the larger locals of the north, and other locations across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and Michigan.
Tom is an experienced M&A and corporate finance professional having worked on a number of transactions with an aggregate value of $3.0 billion. Prior to joining Foundation in August 2016, Tom was involved with early-stage ventures through his holding company, Oakhill Capital Group, where he holds interests in an alluvial gold project based in Ghana and an all-natural baby skin care company based in Toronto. Prior to this, Tom worked at Haywood Securities, a full service investment dealer focused on the resource sector and Gryphon Partners Canada, a Global M&A Advisory firm that focused on the resource sector which was acquired in 2011 by Standard Chartered Bank.
Dillon Hillier joined Foundation Markets in March 2015 in a sales and support role. Since starting at Foundation Markets, Dillon has specialized in building and facilitating cross-border business relationships for Foundation Markets merchant banking clients. Prior to joining Foundation Markets Dillon has held a wide array of careers and brings knowledge from major oil and gas developments and major construction projects in Northern Alberta as well as a Canadian Armed Forces veteran who served in the Afghan campaign. In addition to Dillon career experience, he has also written a book detailing his volunteer service with the Kurdish Peshmerga’s war against ISIS and is a sought after speaker, commentator, and pundit on geopolitical events.
Ms. Bayoumy joined Foundation Markets in May 2015 as a Finance Associate. She completed two undergraduate degrees – a Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, St. George and a Honours Bachelor of Health Studies from York University. At Foundation Markets, Ms. Bayoumy utilizes her interest in and knowledge of health care systems, health policy, and health financing to critically look into projects in the health industry. She also works closely with senior management of the incubated companies to advance their business objectives and corporate mandates.
Robin joined Foundation in 2017, as an Investment Banking Analyst. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and finance from McGill University, while serving as a portfolio manager for the McGill University Applied Investments Program. Robin previously held positions at Sionna Investment Managers Inc. and FactSet Research Systems Inc. and is currently enrolled in the CFA Program.
